Counselling Service for Carers – “Care First” This service is FREE and CONFIDENTIAL to all Carers in Somerset . Carers can self-refer by phoning Care First on 0800 174319 This service provides a 24-hour, 7-day a week counselling support line Care First also provide 2 additional services to carers in Somerset which are: 1. Specialist (CAB trained) Financial Advisors offering benefit advice & debt counselling - same phone number as the carers counselling service 2. On-line and immediate counselling from the Care First website and carers can login by ringing Care First and requesting the user name and password.
Carers’ Breaks Scheme If you are a carer of an adult under 65 with a mental health problem, you may be able to have a break or a holiday with or without the person you care for.
